Number 3 Stanhope Gate, just off Park Lane, Mayfair, between Curzon Street and Stanhope Gate comprises a mainly unoccupied early 1900’s, 10 storey concrete and steel framed brick façade Building. CityAxis have been involved with this exciting project for the past five years and recently have been instrumental in the Design and Build of the complete building as a wholepackage, rather than piecemeal packages instructed in the past by the client under a JCT Minor Works umbrella. CityAxis are establishing the principles of fire strategy, working closely with Building Control and Fire Consultants to ensure that all challenges are firmly understood to enable detailed and accurate RIBA Stage 4 drawings to be produced. Such typical challenges involve design of a bespoke fire fighting lift within an existing shaft, individual sprinklering to all floors, compartmentation of commercial areas. Stair lobbies to all levels to avoid stair pressurisation systems. Fire treatment of penthouse triplex both eternal and internal. Fully bespoke MEP systems to all levels. The works are scheduled to be completed in circa eighteen months.
